Spectators: 6650 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1650, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Honorato Lauren got the match started through his kick off. After having played for 3 minutes, Clodoveo Eate managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletico Rio Tercero's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clodoveo Eate was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 5 minutes of play, Club Atletico Rio Tercero's Candido Ospin made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paolo Baumar was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 8th minute, Romulo Ovando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Honorato Lauren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luciano Baladi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Clodoveo Eate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Paolo Baumar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Makallé defense, Candido Ospin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paolo Baumar. The Makallé fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paolo Baumar should have stopped the shot. Candido Ospin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Clodoveo Eate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Paolo Baumar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jairo Kepa lost his temper 31 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 30th minute, one of Makallé:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Makallé. Celedonio Urtzi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paolo Baumar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Candido Ospin, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Candido Ospin made a kick off. Clodoveo Eate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Paolo Baumar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Candido Ospin in the 56th minute of play forced Makallé's goalkeeper Paolo Baumar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Candido Ospin might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paolo Baumar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Candido Ospin ran back to his position shaking his head. Celedonio Urtzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Baladi having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Makallé's zone, Clodoveo Eate stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paolo Baumar came out of the goal and Clodoveo Eate tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Makallé's Celedonio Urtzi got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Celedonio Urtzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Club Atletico Rio Tercero played a much better game than Makallé and deserved their victory. The Makallé players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
