If Angelino Estefan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 5 minutes into the game, Astor Hitzeder was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cangrejos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MESSI FC the free kick. In the 6th minute of the match Paolo Belmiro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jacobo Carlomagno showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Juan Edwardo took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacobo Carlomagno. Jacobo Carlomagno dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Baltasar Ted received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Maximiliano Adrio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 21 minutes, Angelino Estefan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cangrejos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angelino Estefan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Baltasar Ted had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angelino Estefan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximiliano Adrio having to interfere. MESSI FC's Maximiliano Adrio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelino Estefan in the 30th minute of play. Juan Edwardo struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Jacobo Carlomagno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MESSI FC. After 42 minutes, Julio Ferrando mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MESSI FC and the Cangrejos players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd minute, Julio Ferrando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Angelino Estefan to strike the kick off in the second half. Edelmiro Ireno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 63 played minutes MESSI FC got a freekick which was hit by Elpidio Otsando. 63 minutes into the match, Cangrejos's Rafael Cristos broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Maximiliano Adrio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelino Estefan in the 65th minute of play. In the 74th minute, Baltasar Ted ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maximiliano Adrio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 82nd minute, Juan Edwardo made a precise shot to the right of Jacobo Carlomagno. Cangrejos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Maximiliano Adrio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelino Estefan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lino Oidor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Carlomagno having to interfere. Angelino Estefan was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 95th minute. Cangrejos's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Baltasar Ted might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maximiliano Adrio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baltasar Ted ran back to his position shaking his head.
