After a defensive mix-up in Molino FC's zone, Paulino Clodio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ezequiel Gabirel came out of the goal and Paulino Clodio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Patricio Esiquio might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ezequiel Gabirel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patricio Esiquio ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 17th minute, Paulino Clodio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gavino Javiar struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Ezequiel Gabirel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salto. Diego Edorta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximino Jesco, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felix Favila during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 24th match minute, Salto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Favila to maneuver through the defense. Erubiel Martxot charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erubiel Martxot the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Salto getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Erubiel Martxot hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Maximino Jesco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Molino FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximino Jesco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diego Edorta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Salto's Paulino Clodio got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gavino Javiar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Molino FC's Maximino Jesco slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Diego Edorta. That made the score 1-1 after 53 minutes of play. Molino FC's Ezequiel Gabirel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gavino Javiar in the 58th minute of play. Gavino Javiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Roberto Gabrio managed to get in a good position for a shot.
