The supporters of Victoria booed when Encón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Romo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Encón's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Victoria the free kick. Marcos Romo hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After 62 played minutes, Victoria's Constantino Cai shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dante Mogel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Victoria reached it. Marcos Tancredo's late challenge caught a Victoria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcos Tancredo helped the player get up and apologised. Marcos Tancredo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Saturnino Gonzalez made a huge save. Domingo Matxin struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Dante Mogel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Victoria. Remigio Ler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saturnino Gonzalez having to interfere. Saturnino Gonzalez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remigio Ler in the 84th minute of the match. Dante Mogel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgilio Montez in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Domingo Matxin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Virgilio Montez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Dante Mogel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Encón's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
