Classic's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Fulgencio Berbiz fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Classic's protests and gave Fulgencio Berbiz a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Classic getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Fulgencio Berbiz hit a great ball. After 15 played minutes, peloteros F.C's Dalmacio Donzel shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Samuel Eufemio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in peloteros F.C reached it. The supporters of Classic booed when peloteros F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nemesio Cordarin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 19 played minutes Classic got a freekick which was hit by Fermin Salomon. When Dalmacio Donzel came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the peloteros F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dalmacio Donzel couldn't finish the play. Eustacio Guillen charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eustacio Guillen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Classic's Eustacio Guillen got a free kick in the 21st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leo Belasko during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fulgencio Berbiz, 30 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 31st minute, Edgardo Pabla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fulgencio Lonzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Gregorio Bela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, peloteros F.C's Gregorio Bela got control of the ball when Fulgencio Lonzo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edgardo Pabla to strike the kick off in the second half. Nemesio Cordarin hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Serafino Reno managed to get in a good position for a shot. peloteros F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Serafino Reno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuel Eufemio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Edgardo Pabla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, peloteros F.C's Nemesio Cordarin got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Nicolas Vermudo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gregorio Bela read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. After 88 minutes of play Classic's Eustacio Guillen was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Eustacio Guillen hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match.
