The referee ignored Vázques's protests and gave Jonatan Rufo a yellow card for diving instead. After 12 played minutes Vázques got a freekick which was hit by Jonatan Rufo. With an all-out effort, Vázques's Severiano Macias threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Abel Estevez, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Abel Estevez came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Vázques fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abel Estevez couldn't finish the play. Feliberto Bernabel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute Abel Estevez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severiano Macias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonathan Millano to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abel Estevez in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Severiano Macias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Patricio Patxi struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Florentino Mel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marucha FC. Jonatan Rufo scored 1-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Severiano Macias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Abel Estevez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Feliberto Bernabel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amancio Ubarna kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
