The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Higuerita getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Julio Ixona hit a great ball. Higuerita's Tomás Evangelista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julio Tono in the 9th minute of play. FIRST FC's Maximino Jakue played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorio Laurentzi in the 13th minute of play. Tomás Evangelista came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by FIRST FC's Alejandro Rodas. But to his dismay, Alejandro Rodas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Marco Naldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximino Jakue having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FIRST FC's Jacinto Uzuri got a free kick in the 24th minute. Alejandro Rodas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Tomás Evangelista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Honorio Laurentzi sped through FIRST FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Maximino Jakue. When Alejandro Rodas came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the FIRST FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alejandro Rodas couldn't finish the play. Honorato Tano hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alejandro Rodas got free with Tomás Evangelista in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Julio Tono made the kick off in the second half. Blas Quentin charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Blas Quentin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, FIRST FC's Blas Quentin got a free kick in the 55th minute. Honorio Laurentzi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Maximino Jakue made a huge save. Honorio Laurentzi took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maximino Jakue. Maximino Jakue dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 62nd match minute, FIRST FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Bonadona to maneuver through the defense. Maximino Jakue took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Naldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alejandro Rodas might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomás Evangelista. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alejandro Rodas ran back to his position shaking his head. Tomás Evangelista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julio Tono, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Naldo in the 79th minute of play forced FIRST FC's goalkeeper Maximino Jakue to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the game, Honorio Laurentzi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Maximino Jakue was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alejandro Rodas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Higuerita's goal looked a bit too open when Julio Tono came free, but Tomás Evangelista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomás Evangelista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julio Tono, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Higuerita supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Higuerita would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
