Tomás Evangelista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomás Evangelista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Frichoso in the 16th minute of the match. Gusanos FC's Gabriel Pueblo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Naldo in the 18th minute of play. After 18 played minutes Gusanos FC got a freekick which was hit by Zacarias Socorro. Higuerita's Tomás Evangelista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Higuerita from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Gusanos FC's Sebastian Eusko got a free kick in the 29th minute. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Emanuel Frichoso took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Tomás Evangelista to make any attempt to save it. Domingos Panfilo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Tomás Evangelista when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Domingos Panfilo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Emanuel Frichoso made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 80 minutes, Domingos Panfilo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gusanos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingos Panfilo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emanuel Frichoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Evangelista having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Frichoso in the 83rd minute of play forced Higuerita's goalkeeper Tomás Evangelista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomás Evangelista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Eusko, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Honorio Laurentzi got free with Gabriel Pueblo in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
