Andres Eli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guido Ermengol, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Cornelio Montay hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute of the match Gogo Petrigai sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andres Eli skillfully saved the ball. The audience was convinced that Guido Ermengol's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andres Eli was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. The coaching staff of Verón protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Nunez Cebo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 25th minute there was a penalty for Diablos FC. Siro Ixaka stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Andres Eli. 0-3. Filiberto Baldovino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Verón's Gervasio Nuxila got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guido Ermengol struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Andres Eli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Diablos FC. Oscar Bazkoare received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Andres Eli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matias Valiente kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Guido Ermengol might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andres Eli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guido Ermengol ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 76th minute, Oscar Bazkoare got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Oscar Jaunzuria kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Diablos FC's attack was well implemented in the 84th minute, but when Guido Ermengol was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. After some careless play in the Verón defense, Guido Ermengol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andres Eli. The Verón fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andres Eli should have stopped the shot. 92 minutes into the match, Verón's goal looked a bit too open when Guido Ermengol came free, but Andres Eli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diablos FC played a much better game than Verón and deserved their victory. The Verón players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
