Venancio Gipuzkoa came out of the goal and Gervasio Nuxila tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Javier Clemencin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, one of Veni que te descaco:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Veni que te descaco. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Javier Clemencin in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Venancio Gipuzkoa saved Veni que te descaco from getting behind. The attack was good, but when Javier Clemencin in the 69th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After having played for 75 minutes, Gervasio Nuxila managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Verón's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gervasio Nuxila was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabian Frascuelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Andres Eli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabian Frascuelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andres Eli having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
