The ITALIANO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Salinas's Jaime Donzel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eleuterio Ishmael in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eleuterio Ishmael in the 31st minute of play forced Salinas's goalkeeper Jaime Donzel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Florencio Froila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jaime Donzel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilfredo Maule, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eleuterio Ishmael made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 89thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Jaime Donzel would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Jaime Donzel made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Fernando Padro sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 94 minutes, Mariano Lidon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salinas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mariano Lidon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. ITALIANO's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
