The Atucha FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benicio Henrico should have stopped the shot. 44 minutes into the match, diablos's goalkeeper José Pedro Lago had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabian Luar. When Eriberto Izel fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atucha FC's protests and gave Eriberto Izel a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Atucha FC getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Eriberto Izel hit a great ball.

The wind increased when Gerardo Medina made the kick off in the second half. Benicio Henrico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Medina, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as diablos's Gerardo Medina slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benicio Henrico. That made the score 0-6 after 79 minutes of play. Atucha FC's Benicio Henrico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Vincente in the 86th minute of play. If Gerardo Medina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute Bernardino Txanton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Pedro Lago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. diablos's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
