The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Haroldo Goiz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fernando Urko showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. If Maximiliano Isauro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Argentinos del Norte booed when NewKing was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Astrada didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teodoro Cloyo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gogo Chus. NewKing's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Isidro Malvin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Isidro Malvin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Fernando Urko made the kick off in the second half. Haroldo Goiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teodoro Cloyo's late challenge caught a NewKing's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teodoro Cloyo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 57th minute, Teodoro Cloyo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by Argentinos del Norte's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alfonso Rainerio was slow to take the kick. During this time NewKing's players had a chance to rest. Haroldo Goiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. NewKing's Gogo Chus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Goiz in the 68th minute of play. When Maximiliano Isauro came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the NewKing fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximiliano Isauro couldn't finish the play. Gogo Chus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Urko in the 75th minute of the match. Haroldo Goiz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gogo Chus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Fernando Urko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute Haroldo Goiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gogo Chus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 90 played minutes Argentinos del Norte got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Urko. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Isidro Malvin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tiburcio Lucado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Isauro in the 94th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Argentinos del Norte's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Isauro came free, but Tiburcio Lucado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. NewKing were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
