In the 11th minute, Fernando Urko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Giorgos Zouboulis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Tiburcio Lucado when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The INTER FC fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when INTER FC's Giorgos Zouboulis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vassilis Sklavenitis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Tiburcio Lucado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Argentinos del Norte's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Giorgos Zouboulis fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Vassilis Sklavenitis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Giorgos Zouboulis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Tiburcio Lucado made a huge save. Fermin Fernado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiburcio Lucado having to interfere. Fernando Urko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernando Urko made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, INTER FC's Giorgos Zouboulis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tiburcio Lucado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Honorio Milio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Haroldo Goiz in the 77th minute. Leonides Matteo hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Giorgos Zouboulis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiburcio Lucado having to interfere. Tiburcio Lucado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giorgos Zouboulis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute INTER FC were awarded a corner. Eustaquio Donzel went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Eustaquio Donzel almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Argentinos del Norte's Tiburcio Lucado did a great save. Juan Rios hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Argentinos del Norte defense, Giorgos Zouboulis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tiburcio Lucado. The Argentinos del Norte fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tiburcio Lucado should have stopped the shot.
