After a rather tough play, ESPARTA F.C's Luciano Vincent got a free kick in the 11th minute. Epifanio Abella didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Teodoro Obano went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in ESPARTA F.C's zone, Teodoro Obano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Epifanio Abella came out of the goal and Teodoro Obano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Agustin Bermudez's late challenge caught a ESPARTA F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Agustin Bermudez helped the player get up and apologised. In the 20th minute, Agustin Bermudez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th match minute, ESPARTA F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Astudillo to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the game, Romulo Martinez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C. A. Ciudadela Norte's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ESPARTA F.C the free kick. The supporters of ESPARTA F.C booed when C. A. Ciudadela Norte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romulo Martinez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 32 minutes of play C. A. Ciudadela Norte's Agustin Bermudez was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to C. A. Ciudadela Norte getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Agustin Bermudez hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute of the match Santiago Vincent sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Evelio Eliu skillfully saved the ball. Evelio Eliu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paolo Aguilera went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. ESPARTA F.C's Paolo Aguilera managed to work through C. A. Ciudadela Norte's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Paolo Aguilera dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The supporters of C. A. Ciudadela Norte booed when ESPARTA F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Vincent didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Saturnino Xacintu fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C. A. Ciudadela Norte's protests and gave Saturnino Xacintu a yellow card for diving instead. C. A. Ciudadela Norte:s Evelio Eliu showed great skill when he stopped Santiago Vincent:s penalty. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teodoro Obano made a kick off. After 50 played minutes ESPARTA F.C got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Vincent. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by ESPARTA F.C's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Saturnino Xacintu was slow to take the kick. During this time C. A. Ciudadela Norte's players had a chance to rest. Severiano Lopes thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Epifanio Abella, a very annoying self made goal in the 55th minute which led to 2-1. If Paolo Aguilera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of ESPARTA F.C booed when C. A. Ciudadela Norte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amado Maule didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, ESPARTA F.C's Santiago Vincent tried to score from far away in the 62nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After having played for 64 minutes, Paolo Aguilera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ESPARTA F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paolo Aguilera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paolo Aguilera blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Evelio Eliu having to make a save. Cristian Soter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evelio Eliu having to interfere. After some careless play in the C. A. Ciudadela Norte defense, Cristian Soter kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Evelio Eliu. The C. A. Ciudadela Norte fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Evelio Eliu should have stopped the shot. Teodoro Obano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epifanio Abella having to interfere. Cristian Soter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evelio Eliu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paolo Aguilera in the 81st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Teodoro Obano managed to get in a good position for a shot. C. A. Ciudadela Norte's supporters rose to their feet, but Teodoro Obano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Epifanio Abella breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The ESPARTA F.C players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented C. A. Ciudadela Norte from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
