Romulo Martinez charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Romulo Martinez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 10th match minute, C. A. Ciudadela Norte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romulo Martinez to maneuver through the defense. Club Villa Mitre's Romeo Sanduru couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 11th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for C. A. Ciudadela Norte. Cristobal Niva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Fausto Frichoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Roman Jayvier notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of C. A. Ciudadela Norte's Evelio Eliu. Evelio Eliu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 26th minute, Cristobal Niva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Club Villa Mitre's Fausto Frichoso got control of the ball when Teodoro Obano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Teodoro Obano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute, Teodoro Obano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fausto Frichoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. When Roman Jayvier came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Club Villa Mitre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roman Jayvier couldn't finish the play. Fausto Frichoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teodoro Obano in the 43rd minute. The goalkeeper, Fausto Frichoso, was totally fooled by C. A. Ciudadela Norte's Saturnino Xacintu, who 46 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristobal Niva in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fausto Frichoso saved Club Villa Mitre from getting behind. If Roman Jayvier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 62 minutes of play, C. A. Ciudadela Norte's Cristobal Niva made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fausto Frichoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! C. A. Ciudadela Norte's Evelio Eliu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Venancio Mino in the 70th minute of play. The supporters of Club Villa Mitre booed when C. A. Ciudadela Norte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romulo Martinez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 74th minute Venancio Mino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evelio Eliu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fausto Frichoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristobal Niva, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Club Villa Mitre's Venancio Mino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Evelio Eliu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Evelio Eliu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Venancio Mino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. C. A. Ciudadela Norte were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Club Villa Mitre for a fine match.
