Spectators: 6657 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1657, VIP seats: 0) São Paulo FC's Generoso Conrao started the match with a crisp pass. In the 34th minute, Mauro Faro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Generoso Conrao came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the São Paulo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Generoso Conrao couldn't finish the play. In the 37th minute, Rogelio Cordarell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Generoso Conrao recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ricardo Matai was the one to do the kick off. Jeremias Bibiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Matai in the 51st minute of the match. If Maximo Monico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celso Lorenz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mauro Faro went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Jeremias Bibiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximo Monico, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After a rather tough play, São Paulo FC's Hugo Ceandro got a free kick in the 69th minute. Ricardo Matai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias Bibiano having to interfere. If Generoso Conrao had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Generoso Conrao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mauro Faro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Celso Lorenz when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
