After a defensive mix-up in Concepción's zone, Aquilino Argenis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Braulio Olando came out of the goal and Aquilino Argenis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 44 minutes into the match, Papin AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Camilo Beltxe came free, but Christian Gergori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Camilo Beltxe was the one to do the kick off. Christian Gergori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camilo Beltxe in the 53rd minute of play. If Aquilino Argenis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Papin AFC booed when Concepción was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. After 78 minutes of play, Papin AFC's Danilo Dolfos made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Braulio Olando was left in no man's land by his defense there! Aquilino Argenis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Braulio Olando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Braulio Olando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danilo Dolfos, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Aquilino Argenis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Braulio Olando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Concepción players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Papin AFC.
