Los Brujos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atletico River Plate the free kick. After 24 played minutes Los Brujos got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Joanes. Adan Llorian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guaberto Gonzales, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After 33 played minutes Los Brujos got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Iyan. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antonio Aguilera got free with Adan Llorian in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Guaberto Gonzales advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-0 in the 39th minute. Guaberto Gonzales received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Adan Llorian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 48th minute, Tiburcio Domenec ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacobo Roland was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Club Atletico River Plate's Guaberto Gonzales suffered a sore thigh after 58 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Higinio Tartalo charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Higinio Tartalo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. It was beautiful to see Club Atletico River Plate's Eliseo Miro in action when he in the 61st minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! In the 69th minute, Filomeno Sabin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 89 minutes into the match, Patricio Iyan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jacobo Roland, 2-2. In the 96th play minute Tiburcio Domenec came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jacobo Roland. 2-3.
