Yutuyaco's Ruperto Gabon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Artal in the 5th minute of play. When Urbano Afonso fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A. River Plate's protests and gave Urbano Afonso a yellow card for diving instead. In the 9th minute, Urbano Afonso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabian Abeijon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Bibiano in the 14th minute of play. Christian Artal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ruperto Gabon having to make a save. After 22 minutes, Guillermo Feliu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yutuyaco and the C.A. River Plate players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 22 played minutes Yutuyaco got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Feliu. Ladislao Breogan's late challenge caught a C.A. River Plate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ladislao Breogan helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Yutuyaco's Ladislao Breogan got a free kick in the 30th minute. When C.A. River Plate's Christian Artal in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Yutuyaco's goalie prevented a goal. Guillermo Feliu kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Ruperto Gabon came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by C.A. River Plate's Christian Artal. But to his dismay, Christian Artal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 40 minutes into the match, Yutuyaco's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Artal came free, but Ruperto Gabon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christian Artal scored 3-0 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ruperto Gabon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jonathan Bibiano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Christian Artal kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Ruperto Gabon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christian Artal's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. When Emanuel Bizi came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the C.A. River Plate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Bizi couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, C.A. River Plate's Timoteo Mano got a free kick in the 61st minute. Hermengildo Viviano kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 68th minute of the match Isaias Ulizes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabian Abeijon skillfully saved the ball. Paolo Domeka's late challenge caught a Yutuyaco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabian Abeijon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Bibiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. When C.A. Ruperto Gabon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Artal in the 85th minute of the match. Ruperto Gabon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Artal in the 87th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christian Artal in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ruperto Gabon saved Yutuyaco from getting behind. In the 92nd match minute, Yutuyaco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Feliu to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Yutuyaco booed when C.A. River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Artal didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Yutuyaco players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for C.A. River Plate.
