Rotenbürgo's Bonifacio Poz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severiano Bizen in the 14th minute of play. Silvestre Lastur might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gaspar Jaizki. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silvestre Lastur ran back to his position shaking his head. Gaspar Jaizki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvestre Lastur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Felix Erlantz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Chalaxy getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Armando Txeru hit a great ball. Silvestre Lastur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Jaizki having to interfere. Gaspar Jaizki was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Silvestre Lastur capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Silvestre Lastur really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Marco Mikelar shot from long distance after 44 played minutes, a shot that Bonifacio Poz with certain difficulty stopped from going in under the crossbar. Silvestre Lastur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The referee ignored Chalaxy's protests and gave Paolo Ourente a yellow card for diving instead. 82 minutes into the game, Pascual Mergildo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rotenbürgo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chalaxy the free kick. In the 82nd match minute, Rotenbürgo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pascual Mergildo to maneuver through the defense. 94 minutes into the game, Severiano Bizen recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bonifacio Poz. Severiano Bizen showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Chants of Chalaxy echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Rotenbürgo had held the ball for most of the match.
