In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hipolito FC's goalkeeper Angelino Lain, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Erasmo Xabel came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Amberes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erasmo Xabel couldn't finish the play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erasmo Xabel was the one to do the kick off. When Ciriaco Stephen fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hipolito FC's protests and gave Ciriaco Stephen a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Hipolito FC's Ciriaco Stephen got a free kick in the 51st minute. Gilberto Isauro struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Marcial Salomone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hipolito FC. Marcial Salomone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Isauro in the 73rd minute of play. When Epifanio Ibar was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 77 minutes had been played. In the 77th minute, Epifanio Ibar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcial Salomone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Isauro in the 79th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Isauro in the 85th minute of play forced Amberes FC's goalkeeper Marcial Salomone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 88 minutes Amberes FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Anacleto Opilano who took care of the corner kick. Hipolito FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
