Leonides Horado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Soin in the 8th minute of the match. Marco Maju's late challenge caught a La Corvina Negra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marco Maju helped the player get up and apologised. Leonides Horado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Soin in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th match minute, El Naranjita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnaldo Gizon to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of El Naranjita booed when La Corvina Negra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Gudesteo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Marco Maju had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leonides Horado. La Corvina Negra's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marco Maju was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Leonides Horado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Soin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Arturo Gudesteo came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the La Corvina Negra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arturo Gudesteo couldn't finish the play. 36 minutes into the match, El Naranjita's goal looked a bit too open when Marciano Guillerme came free, but Anacleto Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Maju recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eliseo Soin to strike the kick off in the second half. Leonides Horado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Gizon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Geronimo Gil hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Leonides Horado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Cerilo in the 66th minute of play. When Ovidio Valente fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Naranjita's protests and gave Ovidio Valente a yellow card for diving instead. Ovidio Valente hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. A collision led to La Corvina Negra getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Gilberto Laurgain hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Soin in the 79th minute of play forced La Corvina Negra's goalkeeper Leonides Horado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind El Naranjita's goalkeeper Anacleto Azevedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 92 minutes El Naranjita's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Silverio James who took care of the corner kick. The corner led La Corvina Negra's Silverio James to fire away a dangerous shot which Anacleto Azevedo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. El Naranjita's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
