In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind La Moroneta's goalkeeper Abel Daunte, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Abel Daunte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Xabel in the 43rd minute of play. Amador Bermund kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erasmo Xabel was the one to do the kick off. The Amberes FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching La Moroneta's performance. The match ended with a win for La Moroneta.
