Marcial Salomone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Higinio Lucian in the 19th minute of play. Epifanio Ibar hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. If Patricio Urdaspal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Córdoba AFC booed when Amberes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Segundo Vigil didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Higinio Lucian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Córdoba AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Higinio Lucian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcial Salomone breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benedicto Cuarto got free with Serafin Fortun in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Higinio Lucian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Urdaspal in the 46th minute of play forced Amberes FC's goalkeeper Marcial Salomone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Córdoba AFC's zone, Benedicto Cuarto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serafin Fortun came out of the goal and Benedicto Cuarto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Amberes FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Córdoba AFC were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benedicto Cuarto was the one to do the kick off. The referee showed Narciso Madeo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Serafin Fortun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benedicto Cuarto went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Marcial Salomone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Higinio Lucian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedicto Cuarto in the 91st minute of play forced Córdoba AFC's goalkeeper Serafin Fortun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Patricio Urdaspal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Marcial Salomone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcial Salomone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Higinio Lucian in the 96th minute of play. In the 98th minute, Patricio Urdaspal fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Marcial Salomone, passed just outside the right post. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
