With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ramon Rios prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Unión defense, Jaime Dalmai kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ramon Rios. The Unión fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ramon Rios should have stopped the shot. Jaime Dalmai's late challenge caught a Unión's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jaime Dalmai helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Unión booed when Caballito Greeners was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Dalmai didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Unión's Rodrigo Aurken got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 40thth minute of the game Jaime Dalmai who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Unión's Ramon Rios was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ramon Rios showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Dalmai, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Dalmai in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ramon Rios saved Unión from getting behind. Cornelio Gilesindo charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cornelio Gilesindo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 47 played minutes Unión got a freekick which was hit by Cornelio Gilesindo. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jaime Dalmai to strike the kick off in the second half. After 68 played minutes Unión got a freekick which was hit by Jimeno Estevez. With a little luck, Unión's Ramon Rios got control of the ball when Jaime Dalmai tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Caballito Greeners getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Filomeno Caitano hit a great ball. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Unión's goalkeeper Ramon Rios, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 87th minute Evaristo Merexildo suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Cornelio Gilesindo was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 87 minutes had been played. Cornelio Gilesindo hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Jaime Dalmai who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Ramon Rios when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jaime Dalmais short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got Ramon Rios to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jaime Dalmai struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Ramon Rios didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caballito Greeners. When the final whistle sounded Caballito Greeners left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Unión.
