Dario Chuan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramon Rios having to interfere. Lisandro Maule showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cornelio Gilesindo, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. The La Masía fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Lisandro Maule breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cornelio Gilesindo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lisandro Maule having to make a save. When Silvio Quinteros fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 80th match minute, Unión was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Tercero to maneuver through the defense. Dionisio Ostargi kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Ladislao Flor hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Teodosio Delfino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. La Masía were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Unión for a fine match.
