Romeo Laurin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramon Rios having to interfere. If Iker Gonchan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iker Gonchan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Ramon Rios tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramon Rios showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iker Gonchan, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Gustavo Urtzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimeno Estevez, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Puyel's Gustavo Urtzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodosio Delfino in the 13th minute of play. Ciro Ubendu kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After 19 minutes of play, Puyel's Iker Gonchan made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ramon Rios was left in no man's land by his defense there! Romeo Laurin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Ramon Rios tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25thth minute of the game Iker Gonchan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Unión's Ramon Rios was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Romeo Laurin struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Ramon Rios didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Puyel. If Iker Gonchan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Puyel's Romeo Laurin got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Romeo Laurin took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ramon Rios. Ramon Rios dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Iker Gonchan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Unión's Ramon Rios played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Laurin in the 52nd minute of play. Iker Gonchan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 56 minutes into the match, Puyel's Iker Gonchan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ramon Rios narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ramon Rios didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 69th minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. In the 73rd minute, Iker Gonchan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Romeo Laurin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Ramon Rios tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 78 minutes, Iker Gonchan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Puyel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iker Gonchan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 83rd minute Romeo Laurin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramon Rios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ramon Rios took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeo Laurin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iker Gonchan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramon Rios having to interfere. Iker Gonchan struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Ramon Rios didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Puyel. When the match was over Puyel could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Unión throughout the match.
