The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabricio Nerio got free with Rodolfo Salbatore in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Armindo were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after Margarita's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Desiderio Tipi took the corner. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Apolo Froila during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Armindo getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Apolo Froila hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgard Berenguer in the 37th minute of play forced Margarita's goalkeeper Rodolfo Salbatore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Fabricio Nerio came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Armindo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabricio Nerio couldn't finish the play. The tension between the Margarita and the Armindo players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Armindo booed when Margarita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Placido Estavan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd match minute, Armindo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Desiderio Tipi to maneuver through the defense.
