The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gaston Jaunzuria struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Feliberto Calixto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jockey Club Villa Maria. In the 13th minute, Vicente Cordaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vicente Cordaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Feliberto Calixto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gonzalo Lehen hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. When Fabian Rojelio came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the AchaMar FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabian Rojelio couldn't finish the play. Fabian Rojelio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Raulo having to interfere. Osvaldo Raulo made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Fabian Rojelio sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Jockey Club Villa Maria's Gaston Jaunzuria got a free kick in the 38th minute. Osvaldo Raulo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabian Rojelio in the 41st minute. Feliberto Calixto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaston Jaunzuria in the 47th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vicente Cordaro made a kick off. Vicente Cordaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliberto Calixto having to interfere. After some careless play in the Jockey Club Villa Maria defense, Gonzalo Lehen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Osvaldo Raulo. The Jockey Club Villa Maria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Osvaldo Raulo should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Jockey Club Villa Maria's zone, Fabian Rojelio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osvaldo Raulo came out of the goal and Fabian Rojelio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Jockey Club Villa Maria's Horacio Jaunzuria got a free kick in the 70th minute. 73 minutes into the match, Jockey Club Villa Maria's goal looked a bit too open when Silverio Colas came free, but Osvaldo Raulo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Osvaldo Raulo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silverio Colas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the match, Jockey Club Villa Maria's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Rojelio came free, but Osvaldo Raulo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. AchaMar FC's Silverio Colas got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gaston Jaunzuria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Feliberto Calixto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Feliberto Calixto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Cordaro in the 93rd minute of the match. Fabian Rojelio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, AchaMar FC's Rosendo Ticho got a free kick in the 99th minute. Gaston Jaunzuria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 100th minute of the match, but Feliberto Calixto made a huge save. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
