Spectators: 7197 (Terracing: 5432, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 100) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Andres Estebe got the match started through his kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Bengolea AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Andres Estebe came free, but Cristo Montay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lázaro Tabor charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lázaro Tabor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Timote's Lázaro Tabor got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 9th minute, Timoteo Cordeal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jesus Joanes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Timote's zone, Timoteo Cordeal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jesus Joanes came out of the goal and Timoteo Cordeal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timoteo Cordeal in the 19th minute of play forced Timote's goalkeeper Jesus Joanes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the game, Timoteo Cordeal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Jesus Joanes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cristo Montay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andres Estebe in the 24th minute of play. Edgardo Kepa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Andres Estebe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristo Montay made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Edgardo Kepa sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Timote booed when Bengolea AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octavio Tajo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andres Estebe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Braulio Cresconio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bengolea AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Braulio Cresconio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jesus Joanes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Cristo Montay managed to avoid a goal in the 48thth minute, when Timote's Edgardo Kepa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After the first half Bengolea AFC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 53rd match minute, Bengolea AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramon Asur to maneuver through the defense. Cristo Montay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgardo Kepa, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Cristo Montay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andres Estebe in the 56th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Bengolea AFC's Jorge Modestio got a free kick in the 58th minute. When Edgardo Kepa came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Timote fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgardo Kepa couldn't finish the play. Timoteo Cordeal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Jesus Joanes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Bengolea AFC booed when Timote was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anacleto Benvido didn't get a good kick on the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Timote's goalkeeper Jesus Joanes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felipe Rufo. Braulio Cresconio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesus Joanes having to interfere. Braulio Cresconio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Jesus Joanes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute of the game, Lázaro Tabor landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. When Ramon Asur fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bengolea AFC's protests and gave Ramon Asur a yellow card for diving instead. Ramon Asur kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. When Edgardo Kepa came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Timote fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgardo Kepa couldn't finish the play. The Bengolea AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bengolea AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
