Deportivo Los Grossos's Benjamin Berenguer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Los Grossos from getting a goal against them. Imperio F.C's Zeledon Mino shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 26th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Benjamin Berenguer but with some difficulty. Rosendo Nesto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristides Garin, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the last second Benjamin Berenguer throw himself and got hold of the ball when Eugenio Bembe in the 32ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Ermegildo Locaio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Berenguer having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Cipriano Milio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benjamin Berenguer. Deportivo Los Grossos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cipriano Milio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Ezequiel Bastiaro struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Benjamin Berenguer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Imperio F.C. Benjamin Berenguer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ezequiel Bastiaro's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Eugenio Bembe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Berenguer having to interfere. Cipriano Milio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Berenguer having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eugenio Bembe in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benjamin Berenguer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ezequiel Bastiaro in the 70th minute of play forced Deportivo Los Grossos's goalkeeper Benjamin Berenguer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ezequiel Bastiaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 82nd minute Eugenio Bembe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Berenguer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deportivo Los Grossos's Benjamin Berenguer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Bastiaro in the 94th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Imperio F.C's Cipriano Milio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benjamin Berenguer narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
