The supporters of Muñoz booed when C.A.Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elvio Tome didn't get a good kick on the ball. Clemente Florinio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zacarias Baristo having to interfere. Gabriel Oton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sebastian Matia having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo Abarca during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gabriel Oton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The C.A.Independiente players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Muñoz were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gaudencio Mederi made a kick off. Clemente Florinio in the 54thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Zacarias Baristo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 63 played minutes C.A.Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Leandro Aurken. After recieving a nice pass, Muñoz's Gilberto Maura tried to score from far away in the 63rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 65 minutes into the match, Muñoz's Gaudencio Mederi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zacarias Baristo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 75th minute, Teobaldo Oliverio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benjamin Montez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastian Matia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Oton, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The Muñoz supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Muñoz would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
