Lehmann's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Roman the free kick. A collision led to Lehmann getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Zacarias Cesaro hit a great ball. In the 8th minute, Robustiano Rosario hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 11 minutes into the game, Bernardo Ipar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Roman's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lehmann the free kick. After a rather tough play, Roman's Bernardo Ipar got a free kick in the 11th minute. Eloy Maurino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Iigo having to interfere. Marco Iigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zacarias Cesaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelo Orlo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Ipar, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Eloy Maurino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Iigo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Siro Gonchan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Angelo Orlo. Lehmann's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Siro Gonchan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After having played for 35 minutes, Eloy Maurino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lehmann's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eloy Maurino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 37th minute Zacarias Cesaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Iigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Bernardo Ipar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

52 minutes into the game, Roman's Bernardo Ipar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Angelo Orlo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Marco Iigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zacarias Cesaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zacarias Cesaro struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Marco Iigo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lehmann. Angelo Orlo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Siro Gonchan in the 78th minute of the match. In the 84th match minute, Roman was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilio Lander to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Lehmann's zone, Bernardo Ipar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelo Orlo came out of the goal and Bernardo Ipar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 97th minute of the match Lehmann got a corner. Roman's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pablo Platon ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to Lehmann getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Gaston Mikeldi hit a great ball. Lehmann's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
