Pastor Santxol started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arsenio Argider in the 3rd minute of play forced Niupi Futbol Club's goalkeeper Samuel Gabirel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Niupi Futbol Club getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Candido Joseph hit a great ball. Independiente Rivadavia's Bonifacio Nataniel couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 8th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Niupi Futbol Club. Hector Mouricio charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hector Mouricio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 9 played minutes Niupi Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Hector Mouricio. If Arsenio Argider had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santo Perico blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristobal Maule having to make a save. Adolfo Dantel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cristobal Maule came out and tried to block the shot, but Adolfo Dantel slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 22nd minute. Niupi Futbol Club's Hector Mouricio got his second yellow card of the match in the 25th minute. The referee ordered Hector Mouricio off the ground. Pastor Santxol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Arsenio Argider managed to get in a good position for a shot. Independiente Rivadavia's supporters rose to their feet, but Arsenio Argider was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuel Gabirel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 33rd minute Pastor Santxol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Gabirel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Pastor Santxol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Santo Perico stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pastor Santxol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pastor Santxol blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Samuel Gabirel having to make a save. If Arsenio Argider had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute Pastor Santxol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Gabirel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santo Perico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristobal Maule having to interfere. Arsenio Argider sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 74 minutes into the match, Pastor Santxol had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Samuel Gabirel. Niupi Futbol Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pastor Santxol was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. When Pastor Santxol came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Independiente Rivadavia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pastor Santxol couldn't finish the play. Santo Perico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristobal Maule having to interfere. In the 83rdth minute of the game Santo Perico who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Independiente Rivadavia's Cristobal Maule was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pastor Santxol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Gabirel having to interfere. If Santo Perico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santo Perico's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristobal Maule read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Saturnino Vidal's late challenge caught a Niupi Futbol Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Saturnino Vidal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 96th match minute, Independiente Rivadavia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saturnino Vidal to maneuver through the defense.
