The referee ignored Deportivo Merlo's protests and gave Fabian Salomone a yellow card for diving instead. Paulino Galoer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Israel Ipar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 5 minutes into the match, Naicó's goal looked a bit too open when Timoteo Dantel came free, but Freddy Harkaitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, Naicó's Atilano Vigil sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulino Galoer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 8th match minute, Deportivo Merlo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Soter to maneuver through the defense. Israel Ipar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulino Galoer having to interfere. Paulino Galoer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rogelio Frans in the 14th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Timoteo Dantel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Merlo's supporters rose to their feet, but Timoteo Dantel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Freddy Harkaitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 20 minutes into the match, Naicó's goal looked a bit too open when Gaspar Natal came free, but Freddy Harkaitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Naicó's Rogelio Frans got a free kick in the 29th minute. A hard shot by Matias Bakar from long distance, 34 minutes into the match, got Paulino Galoer's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Israel Ipar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atilano Vigil's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulino Galoer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Alejandro Llanos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute, Deportivo Merlo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Atilano Vigil fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Israel Ipar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Paulino Galoer. That made the score 1-0 in the 43 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Timoteo Dantel to strike the kick off in the second half. Israel Ipar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulino Galoer having to interfere. If Gaspar Natal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulino Galoer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atilano Vigil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulino Galoer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atilano Vigil, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 76thth minute of the game Timoteo Dantel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Naicó's Freddy Harkaitz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gaspar Natal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Freddy Harkaitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Israel Ipar made a precise shot to the right of Paulino Galoer. Deportivo Merlo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Atilano Vigil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute.
