Spectators: 7172 (Terracing: 5381, Seating: 1649, VIP seats: 142) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Santo Arixo kicked off to start the match. In the 4th minute, Atilano Vigil ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leonides Loreto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After some careless play in the Boedo defense, Rogelio Frans kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonides Loreto. The Boedo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonides Loreto should have stopped the shot. After 25 played minutes Naicó got a freekick which was hit by Israel Ipar. Leonides Loreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atilano Vigil, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 37th minute, Israel Ipar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Naicó getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Horacio Cisco hit a great ball. In the 41st minute Israel Ipar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Loreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Nicanor Muno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boedo's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicanor Muno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Freddy Harkaitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Naicó were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Israel Ipar made a kick off. Israel Ipar was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 52nd minute. Naicó's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After having played for 54 minutes, Nicanor Muno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boedo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicanor Muno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Naicó booed when Boedo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicanor Muno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atilano Vigil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Leonides Loreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Israel Ipar, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Atilano Vigil might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leonides Loreto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Atilano Vigil ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Naicó getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Israel Ipar hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Santo Arixo during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Atilano Vigil struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Leonides Loreto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Naicó. Leonides Loreto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Atilano Vigil in the 76th minute. The supporters of Boedo booed when Naicó was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodosio Lia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute, Teodosio Lia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Boedo's Nicanor Muno got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nicanor Muno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Freddy Harkaitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Rogelio Frans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th match minute, Naicó was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Israel Ipar to maneuver through the defense. Nicanor Muno took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Freddy Harkaitz. Freddy Harkaitz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Boedo lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
