Spectators: 6920 (Terracing: 5420, Seating: 1400, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Zacarias Silvino started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Argoitz in the 6th minute of play forced Legion FC's goalkeeper Gogo Nerio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cayetano Jorrin in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robustiano Ilazki saved C.A.Independiente from getting behind. In the 11th minute, Cayetano Jorrin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Robustiano Ilazki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cayetano Jorrin in the 15th minute of play. Legion FC's Albano Aguilera suffered a concussion after 16 minutes and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pascual Honesto during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, C.A.Independiente's Pascual Honesto got a free kick in the 16th minute. The attack was good, but when Zacarias Silvino in the 24th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zacarias Silvino in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gogo Nerio saved Legion FC from getting behind. In the 26th match minute, Legion FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Toribio to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Argoitz in the 29th minute of play forced Legion FC's goalkeeper Gogo Nerio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, C.A.Independiente's Zacarias Silvino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gogo Nerio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Cipriano Argoitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cipriano Argoitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Legion FC's Gogo Nerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Argoitz in the 37th minute of play. If Cipriano Argoitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 57th minute, Carlos Monico left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Legion FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. C.A.Independiente's Cipriano Argoitz got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute Carlos Monico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robustiano Ilazki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Cipriano Argoitz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.A.Independiente fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Cipriano Argoitz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Gogo Nerio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Monico in the 83rd minute of play forced C.A.Independiente's goalkeeper Robustiano Ilazki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. C.A.Independiente's Zacarias Silvino got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Legion FC's zone, Cipriano Argoitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gogo Nerio came out of the goal and Cipriano Argoitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Legion FC's goalkeeper Gogo Nerio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. C.A.Independiente were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
