After a rather tough play, Legion FC's Cayetano Jorrin got a free kick in the 11th minute. Valentin Toribio kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Fiorentina's Esteve Iliana slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gogo Nerio. That made the score 1-0 after 13 minutes of play. In the 24th minute Cayetano Jorrin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Saturnin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, Albano Aguilera was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Legion FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fiorentina the free kick. Albano Aguilera hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Gogo Nerio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esteve Iliana in the 35th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Fiorentina's zone, Cayetano Jorrin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacinto Saturnin came out of the goal and Cayetano Jorrin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th minute Carlos Monico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Saturnin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Monico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Jacinto Saturnin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacinto Saturnin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cayetano Jorrin in the 43rd minute of the match.

If Esteve Iliana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Legion FC defense, Esteve Iliana kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gogo Nerio. The Legion FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gogo Nerio should have stopped the shot. After 67 minutes of play, Fiorentina's Adrian Urti made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gogo Nerio was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 72nd minute Esteve Iliana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gogo Nerio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gogo Nerio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adrian Urti's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. In the 75th minute, Albano Aguilera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Legion FC's Gogo Nerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteve Iliana in the 76th minute of play. After 80 minutes, Adrian Urti made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Legion FC's Gogo Nerio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Cayetano Jorrin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Fiorentina getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Humberto Santiago hit a great ball. In the 94th minute Cayetano Jorrin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Saturnin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Monico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Fiorentina fans cheered their team off the field, for while Legion FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
