Spectators: 7220 (Terracing: 5416, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fernando Bertin started the match with the kick off. After having played for 9 minutes, Patricio Porfiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Empedrado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Porfiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robustiano Ilazki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Bertin in the 11th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, C.A.Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Porfiro came free, but Robustiano Ilazki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cipriano Argoitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felix Aimar during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 25th minute, one of Empedrado:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Empedrado. The goalkeeper, Teodoro Otsoko, was totally fooled by C.A.Independiente's Filiberto Nesto, who 27 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Robustiano Ilazki didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Empedrado's Fernando Bertin shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. 40 minutes into the game, Ricardo Ulizes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.A.Independiente's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Empedrado the free kick. In the 43rd minute Patricio Porfiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robustiano Ilazki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zacarias Silvino to strike the kick off in the second half. Empedrado's Fernando Bertin got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Robustiano Ilazki was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fernando Bertin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 55 minute of play. In the 58th minute, Hector Escobar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zacarias Silvino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro Otsoko having to interfere. C.A.Independiente's Robustiano Ilazki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Bertin in the 62nd minute of play. Ricardo Ulizes hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute, Fernando Bertin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Robustiano Ilazki. The goal made the score 1-3. Pascual Honesto kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Patricio Porfiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patricio Porfiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patricio Porfiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robustiano Ilazki having to interfere. In the 100th minute Fernando Bertin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robustiano Ilazki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Empedrado players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
