Prospero Monico's late challenge caught a Piquete FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Prospero Monico helped the player get up and apologised. Prospero Monico kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Fidel Ponciano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godfredo Lluc having to interfere. When José AFC's Artemio Ongile in 20 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. David Rodriguez guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Thanks to some nice moves Clemente Segio could shoot a difficult shot in the 21st minute, which David Rodriguez however easily saved by the left post. In the 22nd minute Artemio Ongile shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Rodriguez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clemente Segio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. David Rodriguez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clemente Malvin kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. David Rodriguez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artemio Ongile, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Artemio Ongile fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Rodriguez having to interfere. In the 39th play minute Clemente Segio came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised David Rodriguez. 2-1. Fidel Ponciano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Godfredo Lluc having to make a save. Godfredo Lluc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fidel Ponciano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clemente Segio struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. David Rodriguez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for José AFC. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fidel Ponciano was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Timoteo Ortle got free with Godfredo Lluc in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 62 minutes into the match, José AFC's Clemente Segio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Rodriguez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 65 minutes, Artemio Ongile managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. José AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Artemio Ongile was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 66th match minute, Piquete FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgilio Mercurio to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, José AFC's Jose Maria tried to score from far away in the 69th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Artemio Ongile in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Rodriguez saved Piquete FC from getting behind. Clemente Segio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Rodriguez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemente Segio in the 75th minute of play forced Piquete FC's goalkeeper David Rodriguez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Rodriguez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artemio Ongile, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 87 minutes into the match, José AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Fidel Ponciano came free, but Godfredo Lluc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Piquete FC's Fidel Ponciano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Godfredo Lluc. That made the score 2-2 after 90 minutes of play. David Rodriguez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artemio Ongile, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
