Serafin Iratxo guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Octavio Procopio struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Carolo Felipo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Molinari. Rolando Ugutz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luciano Jesco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carolo Felipo having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Damaso Ramirez to make the kick off. Deportivo Urquiza's Rolando Ugutz got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Urquiza's zone, Luciano Jesco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carolo Felipo came out of the goal and Luciano Jesco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dario Gombal during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dario Gombal hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. 76 minutes in the game, Octavio Procopio fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Carolo Felipo having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Deportivo Urquiza's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Jesco came free, but Carolo Felipo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Rolando Ugutz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Deportivo Urquiza's Carolo Felipo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luciano Jesco in the 89th minute of play. When the match was over Molinari could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Deportivo Urquiza throughout the match.
