Castelar's supporters rose to their feet, but Leandro Leobardo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carolo Isidor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 9th minute, Eduardo Manny left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Joga Bonito FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Joga Bonito FC's Carolo Isidor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Leobardo in the 14th minute of play. Leandro Leobardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carolo Isidor having to interfere. Benedicto Ixidor hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute, Castelar's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Anier Lluc fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Nunez Celino fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Castelar's protests and gave Nunez Celino a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Castelar's Nunez Celino got a free kick in the 24th minute. Carolo Isidor came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Castelar's Leandro Leobardo. But to his dismay, Leandro Leobardo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. When Gerardo Laurendi came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Castelar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerardo Laurendi couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Elorri took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nereo Fidele. Castelar's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Ovidio Valery came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Joga Bonito FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ovidio Valery couldn't finish the play. Jorge Cordaro hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute Anier Lluc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nereo Fidele saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anier Lluc in the 43rd minute of play forced Castelar's goalkeeper Nereo Fidele to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anier Lluc's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nereo Fidele read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

The supporters of Joga Bonito FC booed when Castelar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nunez Celino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Froilan Gaitan, 53 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Joga Bonito FC's Carolo Isidor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Joga Bonito FC from getting a goal against them. When Javier Omero fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Joga Bonito FC's protests and gave Javier Omero a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Castelar getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Nunez Celino hit a great ball. Castelar's Gerardo Laurendi got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 78 minutes into the match, Castelar's goal looked a bit too open when Anier Lluc came free, but Nereo Fidele reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ovidio Valery came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Joga Bonito FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ovidio Valery couldn't finish the play. In the 82nd match minute, Castelar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Cordaro to maneuver through the defense. After 83 played minutes, Joga Bonito FC's Froilan Gaitan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nereo Fidele came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Joga Bonito FC reached it. Ovidio Valery fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nereo Fidele having to interfere. If Ovidio Valery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
