Bacardi AFC's Feliberto Marin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Bacardi AFC from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leon Bermudo got free with Feliberto Marin in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 19 minutes into the match, Bacardi AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ariel Araoz came free, but Feliberto Marin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leon Bermudo got in the 24th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Feliberto Marin handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Ariel Araoz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Bacardi AFC's Feliberto Marin got control of the ball when Leon Bermudo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Romeo Abascal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Freddy Artaldo having to make a save. Freddy Artaldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adolfo Mambru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Romeo Abascal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Freddy Artaldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Torres's goal looked a bit too open when Romeo Abascal came free, but Freddy Artaldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romeo Abascal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Romeo Abascal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bacardi AFC's Adolfo Mambru got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 64 minutes into the match, Torres's goal looked a bit too open when Romeo Abascal came free, but Freddy Artaldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leon Bermudo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Torres's Freddy Artaldo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Torres from getting a goal against them. The Bacardi AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bacardi AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
