Abelardo Osorio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Padro having to interfere. Abelardo Osorio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Israel Gagriel came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Lescano FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Israel Gagriel couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Cancún FC defense, Anier Lekubegi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Flavio Baldovino. The Cancún FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Flavio Baldovino should have stopped the shot. When Cipriano Goren came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Cancún FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cipriano Goren couldn't finish the play. Cipriano Goren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Padro having to interfere. Cancún FC's Abelardo Osorio got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Cipriano Goren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lescano FC's Flavio Padro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Lescano FC from getting a goal against them. In the 44th match minute, Cancún FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Goren to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th match minute, Lescano FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Paio to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cipriano Goren to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee gave Cancún FC a penalty, 70 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Cipriano Goren, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Lescano FC's Flavio Padro. 2-2. Flavio Padro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cipriano Goren's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Israel Gagriel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Baldovino having to interfere. Flavio Baldovino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Israel Gagriel in the 80th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Lescano FC's zone, Cipriano Goren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flavio Padro came out of the goal and Cipriano Goren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Flavio Padro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victorio Endura in the 86th minute of play. After 87 played minutes Lescano FC got a freekick which was hit by Anier Lekubegi. In the 91st minute Cipriano Goren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Padro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
