An unexpected shot in the 11th minute by Victor Dino got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Eleuterio Menendo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Dino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lobocó FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danilo Gurutz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th minute Marcelo Janpier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artemio Loreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Defensores Fsa Unidos's Eleuterio Menendo threw himself towards the right post 49 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Victor Dino, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Prospero Liberto was the one to do the kick off. Danilo Gurutz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Artemio Loreto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prospero Liberto in the 55th minute of play. Artemio Loreto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Prospero Liberto's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Danilo Gurutz scored 1-1 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Artemio Loreto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Prospero Liberto in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Artemio Loreto saved Defensores Fsa Unidos from getting behind. 74 minutes into the match, Defensores Fsa Unidos's Jeremias Bento sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eleuterio Menendo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 79 minutes into the match, Defensores Fsa Unidos's goal looked a bit too open when Prospero Liberto came free, but Artemio Loreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Danilo Gurutz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Prospero Liberto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lobocó FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Prospero Liberto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artemio Loreto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 90 minutes in the game, Prospero Liberto fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Artemio Loreto having to interfere. Defensores Fsa Unidos's Artemio Loreto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Defensores Fsa Unidos from getting a goal against them. Danilo Gurutz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Artemio Loreto made a huge save. When Guaberto Bazkoare fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Defensores Fsa Unidos's protests and gave Guaberto Bazkoare a yellow card for diving instead. After 96 played minutes Defensores Fsa Unidos got a freekick which was hit by Guaberto Bazkoare. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
