When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Cipriano Goren took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Artemio Loreto to make any attempt to save it. Jeremias Bento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Cancún FC booed when Defensores Fsa Unidos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremias Bento didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Victor Mannuel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cancún FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Victor Mannuel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artemio Loreto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Cipriano Goren put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Artemio Loreto. Jeremias Bento struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Flavio Baldovino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Defensores Fsa Unidos. In the 30th minute, Victorio Endura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Cancún FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Humberto Teofilio hit a great ball. When Victor Mannuel came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Cancún FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Mannuel couldn't finish the play. Artemio Loreto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abelardo Osorio's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute Victor Dino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Baldovino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rosendo Roderigo took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flavio Baldovino. Flavio Baldovino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cipriano Goren in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Artemio Loreto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Abelardo Osorio came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Cancún FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abelardo Osorio couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Victor Dino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Cancún FC fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when Cancún FC's Cipriano Goren looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Flavio Baldovino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeremias Bento in the 57th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Defensores Fsa Unidos's zone, Cipriano Goren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artemio Loreto came out of the goal and Cipriano Goren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 63rdth minute of the game Cipriano Goren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Defensores Fsa Unidos's Artemio Loreto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rosendo Roderigo charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rosendo Roderigo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 85 minutes into the match, Cipriano Goren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Artemio Loreto. Defensores Fsa Unidos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cipriano Goren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. In the 90th minute Alfredo Urtzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artemio Loreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cipriano Goren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 94 minutes, Abelardo Osorio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cancún FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abelardo Osorio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Defensores Fsa Unidos's Gonzalo Cristos got a free kick in the 95th minute. Artemio Loreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Goren, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the referee ended the match the Cancún FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
