Spectators: 7177 (Terracing: 5385, Seating: 1650, VIP seats: 142) Justino Gudesteo made the kick off and thus started the match. Paulino Shepherd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Steven in the 4th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Aquarium 2001's zone, Ciro Quinten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulino Shepherd came out of the goal and Ciro Quinten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paulino Shepherd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciro Quinten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 13 minutes of play, C.A.Velez Sarsfield's Rodrigo Gentza made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulino Shepherd was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rene Steven kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Paulino Shepherd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rene Steven, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. C.A.Velez Sarsfield's Ciro Quinten got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 29 minutes into the match, C.A.Velez Sarsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Justino Gudesteo came free, but Eugenio Reynardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Aquarium 2001's Justino Gudesteo got a free kick in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Quinten in the 36th minute of play forced Aquarium 2001's goalkeeper Paulino Shepherd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciro Quinten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Rene Steven notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Aquarium 2001's Paulino Shepherd. Paulino Shepherd was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Paulino Shepherd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Gentza in the 47th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ciro Quinten stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aaron Telo during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in C.A.Velez Sarsfield's zone, Marcos Ekhi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eugenio Reynardo came out of the goal and Marcos Ekhi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 60 minutes into the game, Aquarium 2001's Marcos Ekhi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eugenio Reynardo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Rene Steven could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Paulino Shepherd made a huge save. Aquarium 2001's Paulino Shepherd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Gentza in the 69th minute of play. Eugenio Reynardo came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Aquarium 2001's Justino Gudesteo. But to his dismay, Justino Gudesteo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 78th minute, Justino Gudesteo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcos Ekhi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Aquarium 2001 booed when C.A.Velez Sarsfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Oalo didn't get a good kick on the ball. C.A.Velez Sarsfield's Eugenio Reynardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justino Gudesteo in the 87th minute of play. If Marcos Ekhi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Justino Gudesteo fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aquarium 2001's protests and gave Justino Gudesteo a yellow card for diving instead. After 90 played minutes Aquarium 2001 got a freekick which was hit by Justino Gudesteo. In the 93rd minute, Ciro Quinten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 94th minute, Marcos Ekhi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Quinten in the 97th minute of play forced Aquarium 2001's goalkeeper Paulino Shepherd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
