An unexpectedly hard shot by Cecilio Jurdan in the 11th minute of play forced CCB FC's goalkeeper Honorio Balasi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Salto AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Silvestre Marquez came free, but Lázaro Llope reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lázaro Llope showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvestre Marquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Nicasio Fidele recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lázaro Llope showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvestre Marquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 30 minutes into the match, CCB FC's goalkeeper Honorio Balasi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rolando Errapel. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Nicasio Fidele managed to get in a good position for a shot. CCB FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicasio Fidele was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lázaro Llope breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. CCB FC's Honorio Balasi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save CCB FC from getting a goal against them. Leonardo Mambru kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 41st minute Silvestre Marquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lázaro Llope saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lázaro Llope took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvestre Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Silvestre Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 46th minute, Silvestre Marquez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silvestre Marquez was the one to do the kick off. Silvestre Marquez's late challenge caught a Salto AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvestre Marquez helped the player get up and apologised. Rolando Errapel scored 1-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Honorio Balasi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Blas Gorbea's late challenge caught a Salto AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Blas Gorbea helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in CCB FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 60th minute. Penalty! In the 61st minute there was a penalty for Salto AFC. Cesar Guerrero stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Honorio Balasi. 2-0. Honorio Balasi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Errapel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 70 minutes into the match, Gabriel Bembe notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of CCB FC's Honorio Balasi. Honorio Balasi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 72nd match minute, CCB FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicasio Fidele to maneuver through the defense. Honorio Balasi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Errapel in the 77th minute of the match. Lázaro Llope made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Blas Gorbea sent off a good shot on target. Patricio Boniel hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Silvestre Marquez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lázaro Llope having to make a save. If Silvestre Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Blas Gorbea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Lázaro Llope tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
