Sportivo Avellaneda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.S.D. MAFALDA the free kick. Aureliano Ralondo hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augusto Bero got free with Gaspar Playo in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fabio Orlan to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Sportivo Avellaneda's Tadeo Tolino got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Ruperto Satordi got in the 57th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Adrian Sabino handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Damaso Piarres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adrian Sabino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Elpidio Florinio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gaspar Playo. Sportivo Avellaneda's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 80 played minutes Sportivo Avellaneda got a freekick which was hit by Ruperto Satordi. Sportivo Avellaneda's Ruperto Satordi got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gaspar Playo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Bero in the 90th minute of the match.
